Dubuque Senior High School’s official Homecoming theme is “Blast from the Past,” inspired by past decades and many prior fads becoming trendy again!

This year’s homecoming week will be a four-day week. That’s right! There will be no school for students on Friday, October 4th, due to it being an Inservice day for the district.

The Homecoming Assembly and parade will take place on the Thursday of that school week.

The Homecoming football game will take place on Friday, October 5th against Waterloo West.

The Dance is set for Saturday, October 5th in Nora Gymnasium.

Spirit Days and Events

Monday – “Decades Day” – wear your favorite decades apparel from any previous time period!

Movie night in the Auditorium, 6-8p in the Auditorium – Back to the Future

Tuesday – “Sock Hop” – No, we’re not talking about poodle skirts! We mean your favorite CRAZY SOCKS! And don’t forget to pick up a Doughnut that morning in the cafeteria!

Donut Day – Cafeteria, 7-7:35am

Wednesday –  “Back to the future!” – Wear those trends that are coming back from the past!

Thursday –  “Spirit Day!” Wear DSHS colors and apparel to show off you Ram spirit!

Assembly, Crowning of Homecoming King and Queen

Parade – 1:30, starts at Jackson Park, continues on Main Street

After school – Puff games. The freshmen team will play the sophomore team at 7:00

The Happi Hibachi food truck will be available at the main entrance with delicious dinner options for purchase!

Friday – No School

Sophomore Football vs. Waterloo West at 5:00

Varsity Football vs. Waterloo West at 7:15

Saturday – Homecoming Dance 7p-10p in Nora Gym

•  Students enter through main entrance and proceed to gym
• STUDENTS MUST HAVE IDs TO ENTER DANCE
• No guest will be able to purchase tickets at the door
  • all guests are required to register in advance
• Students CANNOT leave dance and come back
• There will be a coat/bag check available for free.
  • Bags and coats will NOT be allowed to be placed on the tops of bleachers
• No student will be admitted to the dance after 8:00 p.m.
• A photo booth will be available for pictures starting at 7:00 p.m.
